About the Author

After 35 years in the legal profession, the vast majority of it spent in courtrooms, I have heard and seen more outrageous human behavior than most. I have always been particularly fascinated by crimes and the interesting and, sometimes desperate people who commit them.

I retired and began to travel the world. I observed and absorbed the diverse cultures of Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. I had heard many wonderful things about Costa Rica and decided to visit for a couple weeks. I never left. I made it my home and 14 years later, I am still in love with Costa Rica.

But, all is not sweetness and light. I have met many beautiful people, but also some very shady characters. Through personal experience and the stories told to me by others, I have created a series of novels that offer a different and entertaining perspective drawn from the dark underbelly of paradise.
